Our $24 frame price include: 1. A beautiful Eyewear Magic frame of your choice; 2. Single-vision distance or reading high-index 1.56 thin and light aspheric lenses; 3. 5 premium lens coatings (including Anti-Reflection, Anti-Radiation, Scratch-Resistant, Hydrophobic Layer and UV Protection); 4. Stylish Eyewear Magic exclusive hard case, cleaning cloth and fitting/adjustment tool. In most cases, you would only need to pay for the frame price ($24 and up) and the shipping charge ($8 flat per order). Single-vision high-index 1.56 aspheric lenses and 5 premier coatings are included in the frame price already, so you don’t have to pay any extra for them. No tax, handling or brokerage charges would apply. Bi-focal glasses ($18 extra), progressive ($32 extra), slim progressive ($40 extra) and even higher index lenses ($18 or $38 extra) for stronger prescription are available to you as well. You can also add tint ($5 extra) or photochromic treatment ($30 extra, lenses will shade in sunlight) to your glasses. What type of lenses do you use in your eyeglasses? We use industry-leading 1.56 high Index hard resin lenses equipped with all essential coatings (Anti-Reflection, Scratch-Resistant, UV Protection, Anti-Radiation and Hydrophobic) at no extra cost as our default lenses. Can you install new lenses into my old frame? Unfortunately, no. What we offer are complete pairs of prescription eyeglasses. We do not provide the service of replacing lenses on old frames or replacing frames for old lenses at this point. This is because the time and expense consumed by sending the old pair back-and-forth and manually replace/repair them are not really worth the hassle in most cases. And fortunately, our prices are made so competitive that you may even find that a complete pair of new glasses here at Eyewear magic may cost you even less than replacing your old glasses. My prescription requires prism correction. Do you make them? Yes, for your convenience, we do make prism correction eyeglasses. Please firstly send in your prescription paper for our optician’s approval, lens availability check and your accurate price quote. You can send us your prescription paper by faxing it through our toll free number at 1(888)858-2048. Alternatively, you can capture your prescription by scanning it, or taking a picture of it with your cellphone/camera/webcam, then just send the file to us. Please be sure to leave your contact information, as one of our experienced professionals will personally follow up your order and make sure your glasses are made perfectly. How do I choose the best frame for myself? We have several articles in our "Find Your Frame" section for you to select a good pair of glasses for you: read up on Frame Styles, Material, Colour, Measurements and Price Spectrum. Those rules of thumb will come in handy to build a pair of Eyewear Magic glasses you will love! Where do I find men-only frames? We did not categorize our frames’ by gender because we did not want to limit our client’s choices of frames. Almost all of our frame models are indeed unisex, they can be great for men and women, mostly depending on the actual color/pattern of the model. The "women-only" ones are specified in the products’ description. Do you carry this designer-name frame? We only carry non-designer frames. We directly purchase from the manufacturers, trade shows and exhibitions for the same quality but a fraction of the frame price, and pass on the savings to our customers. I love this Eyewear Magic frame but it is out-of-stock. When will it be restocked? We are always on the hunt for new front-line fashion frames, which is why whenever we run out of a certain frame, that’s usually the end of that! But we do try to restock our out-of-stock models by client requests. Please let us know the model name and color of the frame that you need, and we will try to restock it for you. Typical response time is one to three business days. If the model is restockable, it will be restocked immediately. As soon as we have any updates, we will let you know. What do I need to get my corrective eyeglasses ordered?
Your eyeglass prescription from your optometrist is all you need. It is written in a standard format and easy to understand. Enter it into your prescription profile and use it during your purchase, we’ll take care of everything else! Also, we have an easy guideline here for your reference. How do I place my order?
1. Create your Eyewear Magic account;
2. Select the frame(s) that you like; 3. Enter your personal information, specify your prescription (or just use your prescription profile in your account) and any upgradable lens options; 4. Pay by your credit card or PayPal. How do I know my new Eyewear Magic glasses’ size will fit me? In order to make sure that the frames you choose from our selection will fit you comfortably, just take a look at the size of your old glasses. This size should be inscribed on the inside of the temple arms, or on the inside of your nose pads. They should consist of 3 numbers (for example "52-18-135"). In that example, 52 mm is the lens width, 18 mm is the nose bridge and 135 mm is the temple length. When you are searching for your new glasses, just make sure that the lens width and nose bridge are within 1-2 mm of your old glasses, and your new Eyewear Magic glasses will fit you great! I have my prescription and the frame I want. Do you accept fax or phone orders? We apologize that we do not accept fax or phone orders. All orders must be placed on our website. If you have any difficulty entering your order, please do not hesitate to contact us, so we can help! Does my eyeglasses insurance cover my eyeglasses purchase at Eyewear Magic? Yes, it does, as Eyewear Magic eyeglasses are qualified medical appliances. However, as every insurance company has its own limitations and specifications regarding its coverage towards different claims, we do recommend you to call your insurance company first and consult for the most accurate info. It is usually a quick and straight forward call, they are usually aware of eyeglasses online purchase. How much tax and duty do I have to pay? None. Sales tax and import duties do not apply to prescription eyeglasses. All you have to pay for is the frame price, lens index upgrade (if applicable) and shipping! Is the payment safe? Yes, very! Once you submit your order, you will be re-directed to PayPal.com to complete your payment. PayPal is currently the most widely used online payment gateway; it offers the industry-leading security encryption when you send your credit card and account information. Can you decode my prescription for me? I’m confused!
Absolutely. We encourage you to send us your prescription paper by faxing it through our toll free fax number at 1(888)858-2048. Alternatively, you can capture your prescription by scanning it, or taking a picture of it with your cellphone/camera/webcam. Then, just send the file to us at cs@eyewearmagic.com and have us take a look at it for you. We will read it out for you in no time, free! What’s my "PD" and where can I find it? Many clients tell us that their prescription does not contain a PD (pupillary distance) measurement. But the PD measurement is actually a crucial part of your prescription. For the eyeglass dispenser, the PD measurement determines how to position the lens in the frame such that the optical centers sit directly in front of your pupils. To find out your PD, just give your optometrist’s office a quick call. If your optometrist has it on file, he/she will let you know your PD over the phone. My optometrist did not measure my PD for me! How can I find it? In case your optometrist doesn’t have your PD on file, you can still measure it with a friend: Step 1: Your friend will stand right in front of you at the same eye level. Step 2: Make sure that when measuring, you are not looking at your friend, but at the wall behind him/her. This is to ensure that your eyes are focusing on somewhere FAR, to measure the DISTANCE PD. Please do NOT measure it all by yourself against your mirror, as you must be looking at far when measuring your distance PD. Step 3: Have your friend place a millimeter ruler right underneath your eyes and measure the distance from your right pupil to your left (the black dots in the center of your eyes) in millimeters. We find most of our adult patients’ PD between 58 mm to 72 mm. We recommend you to repeat this process to ensure the accuracy of the measurement. Please note that the result is your distance PD. If you are required to provide your reading PD, the reading PD is the distance PD minus 3 (e.g. if the distance PD is 65, then the reading PD is 62). My PD was measured for me but there’s more than one number. Which one should I use here? Most likely, the PDs on your prescription should be monocular PDs. Monocular PDs are needed when the eyes are asymmetrical and one eye is slightly closer to the nose than the other. An example of a monocular PD is "32/33"; they are usually in the 30’s since it is close to half of your binocular PD, and there is usually only a 1-2 mm difference from each other. In this case, simply add two numbers together to get the binocular PD that we need to make your glasses. For example, 32/33 monocular PD is the same as binocular 65. Please enter your binocular PD in the order’s PD field and write down "my mono PD is OD (right eye) xx and OS (left eye) xx" in "Any Extra Information" field in the next step before you add the glasses into your shopping cart. Our lens dispensers will make your glasses accordingly. Another possiblity is that the PDs on your prescription are your binocular distance PD and near PD. An example of that would be 65/62, which 65 would be your distance PD and 62 would be your near PD; they are usually in the 50’s or 60’s, and there is usually a 3 mm difference from each other. Please note that the distance PD is always the bigger number. Of course, the easiest option for you is to specify those numbers in the comments box and leave it to us to figure out! If you are interested in more details, please check our simple guide here for information about your PD. Remember, we are only one click away! I only have a prescription for contact lenses. Can I use that? No. The prescription for contact lenses may not contain all necessary information to make corrective eyeglasses. We strongly recommend you to acquire your eyeglasses prescription for ordering your eyeglasses. Also, before you receive your eye examination, please be sure to ask your optometrist to measure your distance PD for you, as some optometrists do not include this information in your prescription paper. Can you please call my doctor to get my prescription? Unfortunately, we cannot do that because it is your confidential information. We are happy to assist you with your questions regarding your prescription in case you find it irregular. Can I just order frames/lenses with no prescription in them? Absolutely! Please just select "non-prescription glasses" after you have picked your frame. Your lenses will still be made with ophthalmic material along with all advertised coatings, but without any optical correction power - the pair will be purely for cosmetic and protective purposes. |

How long does it take for my new glasses to arrive?
Once you have submitted your order, the production process takes typically 1 - 3 business days before shipping out. Custom-make, polycarbonate, tinted, photochromic and multi-focal glasses may take 3 to 7 business days as the lenses will be custom-made. After that, your order will be bulk shipped to quality checking site for the last step of quality checking and dispatched to you. I’ve just received my glasses and they’re not sitting on my face comfortably,
how can I get a refund?
Don’t panic just yet! Most of the time, it takes a short adjustment period when wearing a new pair of glasses. Also, your old frame may have already been worn out of shape after extended usage and caused your eyes to use extra effort when adjusting to the correct alignment. And, you might need some time to establish your confidence on your new look too! Keep in mind all our frames are bench-aligned to industry standards, and as you know, not everyone’s head shapes and sizes are the same - if you find that your glasses need a personal fitting, you can first bring your glasses to your local optician shop and they will be able to help you fit (adjust) your glasses. This service is usually provided for free as a courtesy, or with a very small fee.
